OnMobile Asia Pacific Pvt Ltd Placement paper -2

Onmobile is a sister concern of Infosys. It was part of Infosys till June, 2000 and now it's separate. But seems to be a good company. The Bangalore office in inside Infosys office, Electronics City.

They are dealing with Mobile communciation.

Starting pay for freshers may be around Rs 17,000 per month (not sure).

Exam is of Infosys written test type. But with negative marking. So, be careful and attempt only those questions you are confident of the right answer.

Total no of puzzles : 6, for total of 50 marks. (Each question has different marks)

The questions may be reasonably tough. Some questions may come directly from Shankula Devi books.

So refer Shankula Devi puzzle books (Puzzles to Puzzle You, More Puzzles), George Summers puzzle book.

Also prepare Analytical questions in : "GRE : Barrons" (Old editions of book, because no Analytical questions in new GRE pattern).

You can expect probability questions mostly.

If u answer 4 questions correctly, you may get the interview.



In interview : They are mainly asking about B.Tech project, Puzzles and few questions on Oracle.

Problem is to find a number N starting from which it is possible to get any number of nuggets without breaking any of the packets.

Ans : There is no such number exists. It's not possible to find out. So, answer should be "Infinite".

An item x is available in 6,9,20 peices of packets. A customer purchased least N peices such that N+1, N+2, N+3.......peices also can be purchased. Find N.

With this information she went to Tom house, but she could not find out his address. Then she realizes that the second answer is only the correct one.

Then dolly, who is unaware of the above conversation, asked Tom, "Is ur dno a perfect cube?". He replied.

Again she asked, "is it greater than 25?". He replied.

With this information she went to Tom house, but she could not find out his address. Then she realizes that the second answer is only the correct one.

If sum of door numbers of the three is equal to a perfect square multiplied with 2. Tom's door number is less than that of Dolly.

Also Tom's door number is less than that of Mouly. Then find out the door numbers of all the three people.
